Modbury - Shopping around Kingsbridge

Rachael did a full set of acrylic extensions with a gel polish for me nearly 2 weeks ago and they are still going strong and still look fabulous (despite being on the beach and in the sea several times since!). Rachael was very warm and friendly, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Hen House and it's beautiful surroundings. I don't live in the area but I will be back!

So nice to see an independent bookshop in Kingsbridge... I can honestly say I have never met a more enthusiastic and helpful store owner. Nothing is too much trouble and always interested in new or upcoming authors. My wife ordered a book here, and it arrived before it was even available from the well known South American 'rainforest' online store

Great place. Loads of great books and the lady who runs it know everything about them, always helps and is so nice I always leave with a smile. An amazing place for readers, non-readers and anybody else. Thank you so much.

Books for everyone. Cards for all occasions. Stationery for the young and old. Good quality items which you pay the price for but you know it's going to last.

We have been dealing with Quay Auto Centre for years, always found them to be honest and trustwothy and never had a problem with them at all, would definitly recommend.

Petrol not too pricey and the shop is excellent. Staff are always pleasant. Plenty of parking if going there for shopping rather than petrol.

Low prices and all for a good cause, plenty available and VERY kind and helpful staff. Takes card payments. Lots of item range, clothing, toys and even a large range of DVDs are available. Recommend.

The pharmacist was very helpful with some questions we had and even gave us some contact details for a doctor in the area. The store itself is not huge but they have most of the essentials. Parking can be an issue during busy times as it is situated right in the major town centre roundabout. There are parking lots close by however.

Great little shop this. Great location, right near the marina in Kingsbridge. Brings back child hood memories with all the unique old style wooden toys and good place for something different. I believe they run a web based shop as well selling high end baby clothes and accessories. Visited here several times when in holiday and owners very helpful and welcoming. Good tourist spot and well worth visiting if in the area or ordering online

Wow what an awesome shop! Such a great range of fun & useful things! So much variety packed into there! My kids had a great time browsing around (as did I to be honest ;) The owners were super helpful & really knew their stuff. I highly recommend this place. Thank you for all the bargains! Lots of choice, a huge selection of outdoor gear including inflatable kayaks, SUPs, wetsuits, fishing gear, etc. Most of it is decent value for money, not high end kit but serviceable enough.

They pretty much sell every single thing you'd need to do anything outdoors. The legal stuff anyway. We've bought wetsuits, sunglasses, bodyboards, swimming stuff, crabbing stuff. Great place for a browse.

I had a first class service. I took my laptop in for a keyboard repair and got it back the next day. Gabriel was extremely efficient and helpful. I would recommend him any day.

Our desktop PC had a failure and a quick search for local 'fixers' lead us to Gabriel at KTechnology Solutions. He quickly responded to our need for help and soon had a solution and fix to our problem and made all the appropriate repairs. PC runs so sweetly now! Highly recommend Gabriel for not only providing a fix but for giving all sorts of other tips, hints and actions for keeping good maintenance.

The shop is compact and has a little of many things. The staff are very helpful and will try and get in what you need.

WHAT are your opening hours? I never find you open, it is most frustrating - as I live a few miles away - to drive in to shop and you are closed! I need knitting yarn and watercolour paints regularly so now must order online - a pain when I need something in a hurry!

I just wanted to thank Jack at the Kingsbridge store and deliveryman Gerald and his mate for an easy, cheerful and efficient purchase and installation of our new dishwasher. £25 for delivery, removal of the old machine and (slightly awkward) installation of the new one is well worth the money. I do most of my shopping on line but value Beacon’s personal and responsive service for appliances.

Good service and staff were polite and friendly. Very pleased with washing machine.

Nathan gave me a great deal beating what EE had offered and offering me more data, have gone in a few times since and he has been more than happy to help me with the transition of having an old phone to a new fancy smartphone, could not recommend his shop enough, always a pleasure to deal with and he knows most of his customers by there first names! What this man doesn't know isn't worth knowing...

I have used this shop 2 or 3 times to deliver flowers and plants to my elderly grandma who lives locally. They have been consistently polite, patient and efficient.. and crucially the flowers they have delivered have been beautiful.

Nice sport shop, helpful staff and shoes, balls etc for a wide range of sports, also offers local school uniforms. However, some items are slightly overpriced.

Amazing shop - I came in here a year or two ago to replace a pen that I had lost. While being a small shop and may look quite dis-organised, Kingsbridge Stationers is a very good and well organised shop. Everything is priced very reasonably. This shop also carries quite a few high-quality brands such as UniBall, Pilot, BIC and Stabilo. They also have different folders and notebooks etc which is really helpful. If you need any stationary items and you are in Kingsbridge, forget WHSmith - This is the place to go! I came back here today, and I noticed that they also stock computer mice (Wired and Wireless,) which is quite helpful. The staff are very helpful and friendly as well, and everything in the shop is reasonably priced. Ditch the chains - You want stationary - This is your shop
